01 cactus flower - action/video
[Action]
[This new arrival is determined not to fly blind into Luceti. The first thing he does upon gathering himself is pick up the journal, examine it, find the guide, and read it from end to end. It raises many worries, but answers all of his questions, and, thus prepared, he heads for the village.
...Still wet from his unfortunately placed landing, and with far less clothing than he would like. His glasses would be nice to have, too...
Ondorus stops when he comes within sight of the village, his worry and wariness becoming too much to ignore. Is this a human habitation? Might they chase him away if he comes too near? Or is it a town unlike Sharance, where all people would be welcomed?
The hesitant New Feather in the field to the village's west could use some reassurance. Anyone conducive to crossing his path there in the morning?]
[The man that appears on the journals later in the day has been restored to his usual dignity, soft purple cape over dark robes and thin-framed glasses resting on his nose. His spiraled horn and pointed ears are very visible in the video, as are the few tattoos patterned over his forehead and cheekbone. He looks straight at the camera with calm, steady purposefulness, and when he speaks, his voice is steady and his words are precise.]
Good evening.
My name is Ondorus, and I am a new arrival to Luceti. I am very grateful to the kind residents who pointed me in the right direction when I was searching for my personal effects. [He bows his head for a moment.] Thank you, sincerely. I also would like to thank the author of the guide found in the journals. It is very well-laid-out and -written, and eased the surprise of arrival considerably.
[He bows his head again.
Ondorus wonders if he should say something about the village's diversity - ask if it is usual and accepted, thank the villagers for their openmindedness, speak to his fellow nonhumans? No, no -he all would draw too much attention to himself. And there didn't seem to be any problems...best to let a sleeping shadow panther lie.]
…Ah. To the community as a whole...this village seems to be quite well-equipped to meet our needs in such a way that renders many normal tasks unnecessary. What sorts of activities do you recommend to fill the spare time? If you'd like to share your own preferences, I would appreciate that as well.

[ (books from other worlds) ]
I'm not certain I understand the function of the battledore, though.
[voice]
[ A pause as there's a hum from Helios. ] The battledome has...a good few functions. People use it to t-train and there's also using it to have a piece of home here. I know I have parts of my castle built into it. S-So I can go there whenever I want just for a bit of...nostalgia.
[ His voice turns sad at that. It's been a rough past few weeks for him. But he is trying to remain positive and happy especially for the new feather's arriving. ]
[voice]
When you say "built into it" - I'm not sure I understand what that means.
[voice]
And as for the Battle Dome it's n-not physically built in. It's-it's like an illusion of sorts that allows you to feel and see whatever place you stick into the Battle Dome's function to show.

Action
Are you feeling all right? Need any help?
Action
Have you come from the village there?
Re: Action
...Well, not exactly. But I have been living here for the past few days. Did you just arrive?
Action
I did. I've read the contents of the introductory guide, as well, but even when understanding the circumstances, they're...not the easiest to absorb.
Thank you for your concern.
[He wasn't expecting to find any kind of help so fast.]

--That is a man with a unicorn horn. Mithos can see him up ahead, through the spaces in between tree trunks. A unicorn horn. Curious, and maintaining very comfortable distance, he pauses. His eyes stray from the horn to the points of the strange man's ears. ...Hi Ondorus, there is a boy with scratched-up arms and a scratched-up face and a crutch staring at you from a few yards away.]
[action] post-clothes-recovery contemplative wandering because fuck pime taradox
When he does see the boy, he stares for a moment before his eyes widen a little. What is someone with injuries doing all the way out here?]
...Are you all right?
[action] YEA
...I'm fine. [His leg is recovering, and his abused skin and flesh is a small annoyance...his sister's absence is a much deeper injury.]
[action] ....i can't see mithos' ears in any icons so I am assuming that Ondorus can't either
I don't know how much of my magic has been limited here, but I can heal your surface wounds.
[Ondorus feels a pang of familiar, wistful weariness at the suspicious treatment. At least he's not outright aggressive, but...well, the happy illusion of Luceti couldn't last too long. There would ne one eventually.]
[action] your assumption is correct!

It shouldn't be too difficult to find ways to amuse yourself. Welcome to Luceti.
video
I have some things in mind, but it can't hurt to ask after some outside opinions.
video
Well, I suppose it would depend on the sorts of things you like to do for fun. Do you have any hobbies?

... I'm glad you found it to be of use. If there are any other questions I could help you with in regard to it, you are welcome to ask them. [Others, at least, seem to be providing answers in regard to activities, though she possibly could do that as well, if needed.]

As for the sources... somehow, although it is limited, we have noted that the Malnosso have at least stored some of the necessary energies that people rely on here, otherwise some of us wouldn't be able to utilize certain spells or abilities at all.
[voice]
...That's very strange. That the external result would be changed so regularly...
[You'd think that any sort of damper would work on an internal level and the product would vary. It seems counter-intuitive.]
...Though I suppose that Shifts are unlike anything in my experience.
It is convenient that this world accommodates different kinds of magic. It'd be interesting to hear what kinds of systems occur in other worlds. Do people use these journals to survey residents, or are they for direct communication only?
